About ESAS

East and Southeast Asian Scotland (ESAS) is a community-led organisation working for justice, rights, and empowerment of East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities across Scotland. We centre the voices of ESEA people while building solidarity and belonging across diverse communities.

• Founded in 2020 and incorporated as a Community Interest Company, ESAS has grown into a trusted and recognised voice. Our achievements include:
• Leading community research (Migrant Life in Scotland survey) on ESEA migrants’ access to services during the pandemic.
• Delivering emergency food, clothing, and IT support during COVID-19.
• Supporting wellbeing and inclusion through peer support groups, befriending, English lessons, and women’s sessions.
• Partnering with COSLA and the Scottish Government to support Hong Kong BN(O) migrants and improve access to services.
• Providing hate incident reporting and casework support through the national On Your Side service.
• Advocating for labour rights across the UK through the ESEA Migrant Alliance UK project funded by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.

The opportunity

We are seeking new Board Directors who share our commitment to justice, rights, and empowerment. As a Director, you will play a vital role in shaping strategy, strengthening governance, and ensuring our work has lasting impact.

Previous Board experience is not essential—we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds, skills, and lived experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge or experience in:

• Governance and organisational leadership
• Finance (including an applicant for the Treasurer role)
• Fundraising and understanding of the NGO/funding landscape
• HR and compliance
• UK policy and systems that shape migrant and community wellbeing

Commitment

This is a voluntary, non-executive role (reasonable expenses reimbursed). The time commitment is around 29 hours per year, covering meetings, preparation, and occasional reviews. Meetings are mainly online, with one in-person meeting in Scotland annually. Every five years, Directors attend a Governance Development Weekend (the next in Jan/March 2026).

MICT is looking for a Housing Officer who can capitalise on various opportunities to deliver new affordable housing across Mull and Iona, including properties for sale, further long-term rental homes and worker accommodation to support local businesses, along with tenant relationship management for our current portfolio of rental properties. The Housing Officer will support the delivery of such housing locally, with a focus on managing new housing projects. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience in affordable housing delivery with a long established and supportive community-led organisation.

The Housing Officer’s role is to support the delivery of the MICT Housing Strategy. The post holder will take responsibility for managing the delivery of affordable housing units, from community engagement events and securing funding packages, to overseeing construction and allocating properties. The post holder will also work alongside the Facilities Manager to ensure the quality of our existing rental properties is high and that our tenants are looked after effectively. Full training and ongoing support will be given by MICT staff and directors and external consultant where needed.

Community Links Scotland is a well-established community organisation with over 20 years’ experience supporting the communities of West Dunbartonshire and the wider West of Scotland. With a small, dynamic team, the organisation is committed to community-led regeneration, working in partnership with local groups and housing associations to deliver targeted projects that improve wellbeing, develop skills, and create opportunities for those most in need.

Healthy Pathways is a community based wellbeing project supporting adults who are experiencing poor mental health, social isolation, trauma or financial hardship. We provide a safe, welcoming space where people can rebuild confidence, develop coping strategies and form meaningful connections through small group activities, personal development workshops and one to one support.

As Project Officer, you will coordinate and deliver weekly group sessions and short programmes, encourage peer led activity, provide one to one support and help participants access wider services.

We’re looking for someone friendly, open and patient, with strong facilitation and communication skills and the ability to create an inclusive, welcoming environment. You’ll be organised, reflective and confident managing group dynamics, with experience of working with vulnerable individuals (predominantly women) in community settings.

The Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston Community Company is responsible for the distribution of community benefit funds. We do this through a grant funding programme but also the delivery of larger community projects. Our wider work includes a Community Caretaker team, affordable housing for local people, development of recreation spaces and running a community shop.

We are a dynamic organisation looking for an Operations Manager to lead the team in delivering the daily needs of the organisation. You will report to the Chief Officer and be supported by an established team.

You will be an experienced, hands on team manager with the ability to deal with a wide variety of daily demands. Your remit will include, but is not limited to, management of the grant programme, Tarff Trading operations, the Community Caretaker team, tenant management and the management of the portfolio of buildings owned by the Community Company. The work is varied and very rewarding.
