Make a Difference for Unpaid Carers
Angus Carers Centre is seeking dedicated and values-driven individuals to join our Board of Trustees to help shape
the future of our work supporting unpaid carers in Angus
Unpaid carers play a vital role in our communities, often at significant personal cost. Our charity exists to ensure
carers are recognised, supported, and empowered to maintain their wellbeing while caring for others.
As a Board Member, you will:
- Provide strategic direction and governance for the charity
- Ensure the organisation remains financially
sound, ethical, and sustainable
- Act as an ambassador for the charity and its mission
- Contribute
to key decisions that impact unpaid carers and their families
This is a voluntary, unpaid role, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for social impact. You do not need prior board experience. We
are particularly interested in people with skills or experience in:
- Finance or accounting
- Legal or governance
- Health and social care
- Lived experience as an
unpaid carer
- Fundraising, communications, or digital
- HR, people management, or organisational
development
- Youth work/ GIRFEC

Time Commitment
Approximately 8 board meetings per year, plus occasional sub-committee or development sessions.
