Flexible Childcare Services Scotland (FCSS) is a national social enterprise with a mission to empower children, families, and communities to work, rest or learn by creating access to flexible, affordable and responsive childcare, education, children’s services and wraparound support.

Our flexible early learning and childcare model allows parents to book childcare by the hour, change their bookings each week and only pay for the time they book. This model is actively helping parents to reduce their childcare costs while helping them increase their income and further distancing their whole families from poverty.

Summary

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team, in this role, you will play a vital part in managing our financial operations, ensuring the sustainability of our unique childcare model while supporting our vision to create a world where every child and family has access to the services they need to thrive.

This is a hybrid working post shared between home working and our Dundee head office.

This is a part time role, 28 hours per week, with FTE salary of £40,000 = pro rata £32,000.

The Yard is an award-winning charity that runs adventure play services for children with disabilities and/or additional support needs and their families across Scotland.

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager who is passionate about driving positive change at The Yard. You will bring the expertise and gravitas to influence and support senior leadership on HR and cultural initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced individual to join Barnardo's as a development worker within Barnardo's Highland Services to play a lead role in the development of Bairns Hoose in Highland and transform the lives of children who have experienced or witnessed harm, and to children under the age of criminal responsibility whose behaviour may have caused harm.

This is a key lead role, working alongside partners in Child Protection, Health, Justice, and Recovery Services to realise the ambition of a hub and spoke Bairns Hoose model in Highland to provide children choice about where they receive the support that is right for them.

Bairns' Hoose is Scotland's approach to the Icelandic ‘Barnahus' model, which means ‘children's house'. Bairns' Hoose connects services to meet the needs of the child by collaborating across agencies and disciplines. The four rooms approach brings together child protection, health, justice and recovery services in one setting. The model emphasises a child-centred approach, where the needs and rights of the child are at the forefront.

We want to reduce the number of times children are asked to retell their stories as this is retraumatising. Instead, trauma-informed practice is prioritised to support the child's recovery in a safe, respectful, friendly and welcoming environment.

You will be passionate about children's rights and have significant knowledge and experience of trauma informed practice and be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to collaborative working. Systems change is challenging and requires a high level of resilience and ability to work under pressure and manage conflict. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be motivated to achieve ambitious change.

This post is fixed term to 31st March 2026 due to funding arrangements, with the possibility of a further year extension.

We are looking for a Community Fundraising Officer to support the planning, delivery, and growth of the charity’s community and events fundraising activity; including parent-led fundraising events and community activities.

This hands-on role involves working closely with parents, families, and community supporters who raise funds in memory of their babies, providing exceptional care and guidance to ensure they feel supported and valued.

You will help coordinate a wide range of events and campaigns; from local community activities and challenge events to virtual and digital fundraisers, while supporting the Communications Lead to promote these opportunities across multiple channels. This position is ideal for someone with a warm, compassionate approach who enjoys building relationships, supporting others, and helping make a meaningful difference.

This is a really varied role, with some evening and weekend work, as and when required.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating sensitivity and empathy in dealing with bereavement and baby loss.
