KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Background
Grassmarket Community Project (GCP) is an inclusive community in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, providing support, connection, and opportunity for some of our city’s most vulnerable citizens. Through mentoring, education, social enterprise, and a safe, welcoming environment, we support people to build confidence, develop skills, and realise their full potential.
Our vision is a society where everyone feels valued, has dignity, and can live with greater independence and self-reliance. We walk alongside people as they overcome barriers, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves, others, and the wider community.
Every year we work alongside hundreds of members, delivering over 800 hours of support each month and providing more than 10,000 nutritious meals every year. Together, we create a welcoming, compassionate space where Members can grow, contribute, and thrive.
