Community Health and Wellbeing Our Community Health and Wellbeing team leads TSDG’s work to strengthen the third
sector’s contribution to improved health, wellbeing and social care across Dumfries and Galloway. We convene and
support networks (including the Community Health and Wellbeing Forum, Mental Health Forum and Carers Forum),
build organisational capacity, and turn local insight into practical system change. The team works alongside
partners and people with lived experience to support access, quality, integration and outcomes. Our approach is
evidence-led, collaborative and impact-focused, making TSDG a high-performing, effective partner and a great
place to work.

What You'll Do
We are looking for a colleague who is passionate about improving community health and wellbeing through the strength
of our third sector. You will thrive on building relationships, supporting collaboration, and helping
organisations grow their capacity to make a real difference in people’s lives. With a good understanding of the
third sector, you will support and connect organisations working in health, social care, and wellbeing, helping
to coordinate forums and events, develop partnerships, and share good practice.
What You’ll Do
- Build strong, positive relationships with third sector organisations and partners across Dumfries and Galloway
to support improved community health and wellbeing.
- Provide advice, connections, and resources to help
organisations strengthen their leadership, sustainability, and collaborative working.
- Coordinate,
facilitate, and develop forums and events that bring together third sector, statutory, and community voices to
share learning and influence planning.
- Capture and share insights, trends, and good practice to inform
local priorities and improve access to support.
- Develop and maintain high-quality tools, guidance, and
case studies that celebrate and demonstrate the impact of the third sector in health and wellbeing.
- Work
with colleagues to deliver training sessions and workshops in response to sector needs and
priorities.
- Represent TSDG and the third sector at relevant partnership and community
meetings.
More about you
- You are able to demonstrate experience of working within, or closely with, the third sector—particularly in health, social care, or community wellbeing.
- You have strong relationship-building skills and experience of working collaboratively with partners from different sectors.
- You can show examples of how you have supported capacity building, delivered advice, or facilitated knowledge sharing.
- You are skilled at organising, planning, and problem solving, and you can adapt to varied and changing priorities.
- You are able to analyse information, capture learning, and communicate it clearly through reports, presentations, or other formats.
- You are able to confidently facilitate group discussions, workshops, or events that bring together different perspectives.
- You are self-motivated, a team player, and committed to continuous improvement.
