The Funding team at Edinburgh Leisure secures external income to support the organisation’s mission to transform Edinburgh’s health and wellbeing by reducing barriers, innovating delivery and engaging people and communities in being active. The team manages an annual income budget of around £1 million, working closely with the Active Communities Team to attract long-term support and grow income for existing projects and new projects. The Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser develops and delivers Edinburgh Leisure’s trusts and grants pipeline, focussing on medium and large grants from trusts and foundations, national agencies like sportscotland, lotteries, and corporate trusts. They also support the Head of Funding on bids to statutory bodies (local government and NHS) and provide expert advice on funding options for other business areas such as the Energy & Sustainability Team, Sports Development, and capital projects.
