The Trustees of Development Coll are looking for a highly motivated, experienced person to be Coll’s Community Development Officer.

The post is funded through the Strengthening Communities Programme (SCP), a Scottish Government programme managed by the Development Trusts Association Scotland.

Remit: There are 5 outcomes for this 3-year post:

1. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

• Increased community engagement with DC.
• Action Plan created for next steps beyond this 3-year post.

2. HOUSING

• Community has better understanding of its housing needs and the options to proceed in filling them.

3. RENEWABLE ENERGY

• An Cridhe and Coll Bunkhouse have improved and additional sources of renewable energy.
• The community has a better understanding of large-scale renewable energy options.

4. AN CRIDHE AND BUNKHOUSE IMPROVEMENTS

• Development Coll understands the options and costs of adapting An Cridhe and Coll Bunkhouse to better meet the needs of the community.

5. COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

• The community has knowledge of improved transport provision options for the island. At least one improved transport option to be operational, if feasible.

The position is offered on a 0.6 FTE basis (21.75 hours per week). This role will be home-based but will require travel to Edinburgh and/or other parts of Scotland for in-person meetings as required.

Barnardo's is looking for a Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) to help shape our influencing in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to build on their existing knowledge and experience with policy influencers in Scotland while playing a pivotal role in creating positive, lasting change for children, young people, and families.

In this role, you'll work closely with our Senior Policy and Public Affairs Lead (Scotland) to implement our influencing plan. You'll help raise Barnardo's Scotland's profile among key stakeholders and policy influencers. You'll be involved in:

• Monitoring key developments within the Scottish policy landscape
• Managing relationships and liaising with stakeholders at all levels
• Conducting research and producing reports to support our policy objectives
• Supporting reactive policy work to respond to emerging issues
• Organising events to showcase Barnardo's vital work and engage decision-makers

Your efforts will ensure that the voices of children, young people, families, and our services are central to our influencing activities in Scotland.

Youth 1st is seeking an experienced and motivated Youth Work Manager to lead and manage the B:activ project across Fife. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of young people through active engagement and community-based youth work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery and development of the B:activ project, promoting physical activity, wellbeing and Climate Action among young people across Fife.
• Line manage and support project staff to ensure high-quality youth work practice.
• Work collaboratively with local partners, youth organisations, and communities to extend the project’s reach and impact.
• Meet partnership obligations with Climate Action Fife and BRAG Enterprises NOLB.
• Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, providing regular reports to funders and stakeholders.
