Role
We are seeking a forward-thinking Human Resources professional with a strong background in process improvement and change management. You will play a critical role in transforming HR operations, enhancing employee experiences. This role is ideally suited for an HR advisor who thrives on driving efficiency and facilitating sustainable change across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the identification, evaluation, and redesign of HR processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and employee satisfaction by leading Lean, Six Sigma, or similar initiatives, while collaborating with HR teams and business leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and execute change management strategies for key HR and organisational initiatives by partnering with leadership to drive communication, training, and engagement plans, while supporting cultural transformation through the integration of change management principles into HR projects and policies.
- Analyse HR metrics to evaluate process effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities, ensure the HR toolkit remains up to date and efficient, and monitor change impact and readiness through surveys, feedback, and performance indicators.
- Provide guidance and support on HR policies, organisational design, and workforce planning, while serving as a trusted advisor to leaders.
Who we are looking for:
Your skills, abilities and experience should include:
- Proven experience in HR with a strong focus on employee relations, process improvement and change management
- Demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-functional transformation projects
- Experience facilitating change adoption, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and training
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, organisational design, and workforce planning
- Ability to analyse HR metrics and translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Chartered Membership of CIPD
Ideally, but not essential, you’ll also have:
- Experience in public sector or large, complex organisations
- Knowledge of HR systems implementation or optimisation (e.g., HRIS, performance/talent platforms)
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen)
- Understanding of UK employment law and best practice in policy development
- Certification in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI, ACMP) or Process Improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

ECCAN was launched by the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network (SCCAN) in 2022 and submitted a successful funding application to the Scottish Government in Autumn 2023 to establish the Edinburgh Communities Climate Action Hub. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about climate action, good governance and charity management to take a key supporting role in building the community-led network and ensuring its ongoing success.
This person will be an excellent administrator with a keen eye for detail, tech-savvy and able to support the organisation in achieving its aims and objectives, through the management of everyday operations.
This will include ensuring compliance with all policy and related expectations of a publicly-funded organisation, managing HR strategies and day-to-day finances such as payroll and expenses.
As part of a fast-paced environment and collaborative team, there will be an opportunity for you to grow and develop in your role. The Green Action Trust is Scotland's leading environmental regeneration charity and a trusted delivery partner for the Scottish Government and a wide range of public, private and non-profit stakeholders.
We are supporting a partnership between Glasgow City Council, East Renfrewshire Council and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency to develop and deliver the Glasgow Lost Rivers project which aims to recognise, develop and restore the urban river valleys in the Whitecart catchment on Glasgow’s south side. These rivers, mistreated by history and often neglected, have the potential breathe life into communities.
We’re recruiting a Project Coordinator to drive and develop this project as it moves from feasibility to concept design and prepares for technical design and delivery. As the Glasgow Lost Rivers Project Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with our partners and as a part of the part of the Green Action Trust’s Water Environment Fund (WEF) programme team, working alongside and sharing experiences with the Project Managers and Development Officers for other live WEF projects and supported by senior staff across Operations, Landscape and Programmes. You will be skilled in effective stakeholder engagement, report on project progress, identify opportunities and potential means of delivery, and develop an exciting and inclusive place-based narrative to deliver multiple benefits beyond river restoration
Travel to sites is an essential part of this role and a clean driving license and access a vehicle are required.
