Govan Community Project provides a range of holistic services for people seeking asylum, refugees and vulnerable migrants in the Greater Govan area of Glasgow.
We are recruiting a Bike Library Coordinator with a passion for cycling and a working knowledge of bike mechanics who can support and motivate others to the positive benefits of active travel.
You will be responsible for supporting people from asylum seeking backgrounds to access bikes through a lending scheme. You will also organise cycling activities to promote engagement, physical and mental wellbeing, and community cohesion.
Our ideal candidate will be a very confident cyclist, including being highly proficient in road cycling and road safety, with a working knowledge of bike maintenance. You will be comfortable delivering activities within a diverse community, and communicating and supporting individuals where there may be language barriers. You should also have excellent organisational and record keeping skills.
