Glasgow Women’s Aid provides information, support and temporary accommodation for women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. We have refuge accommodation, follow on services and outreach services both for women and children across Glasgow.

The purpose of this role is to support our Women’s Team with providing a support service to women who are living in our refuges. You will support women being admitted into refuge and will respond to the practical and emotional needs of women as required. Although you will not be a key worker, you will attend appointments with women, signpost and advocate for them and support the running of our group work programmes.

It is essential that you have experience of providing support to women who have experienced trauma or crisis. A suitable qualification that meets with SSSC Housing Support registration is also required (examples would be HNC Social Services or SVQ Level 3 Social Services and Healthcare).The nature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and to the values of Glasgow Women’s Aid.

Are you passionate about children and children’s rights? Do you enjoy working with children and do you have experience of working with children who have experienced trauma? We are looking for a CYP Outreach and Prevention Worker to join our team and provide vital support to children dealing with the trauma of domestic abuse. Our service is delivered to school age children, predominantly in a school environment. You will provide therapeutic 1-1 and focused group work to children and young people ensuring the service is driven by them and their needs. You will also deliver our unique prevention programme to schools across Glasgow to educate children and young people about domestic abuse in an age-appropriate way.

It is essential that you have experience of supporting children and young people who have experienced gender-based violence. A qualification relevant to working with children and young people, such as SVQ Level 3 Social Service (Children and Young People) is also required. The nature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and to the values of Glasgow Women’s Aid. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you have a driving license and access to a car.

Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid is seeking to recruit a women’s worker to provide support to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse.

Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid supports women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse primarily from the Asian, Black and Minority Ethnic community.

Experience of working with women and knowledge and understanding of the impact of domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour based abuse on women from minority ethnic backgrounds is required.

A suitable qualification that meets the needs of the Scottish Social Servies Council (SSSC) housing support registration is required otherwise training will be provided.

The nature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and values of Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid.

Fife Women’s Aid are delighted to have developed Housing First for women experiencing domestic abuse and are looking to recruit a part-time support worker for this service.

The role will involve providing ongoing flexible support to women in their own accommodation, with a focus on harm reduction and tenancy sustainment within the community. The service will work in accordance with the Housing First principles and will enhance our existing service provision for women who have experienced domestic abuse.

Applicants should have good communication skills and a passion for supporting recovery from domestic abuse.

The successful applicant will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in health and social care or other relevant subject, or a willingness to work towards a qualification.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
