Help us champion walking for a healthier Scotland
Paths for All, Scotland’s leading walking and wheeling charity, is seeking an experienced and passionate individual
to join our Board of Trustees. As we work to expand our impact through fundraising and income generation, we are
looking for a trustee with a strong background in fundraising to help guide and support our strategic
growth.
About Paths for All
As Scotland’s national walking charity our mission is to support the people of Scotland to be physically active
through walking. We know that walking (whether on foot or with a wheelchair or mobility aid) makes a valuable
contribution to our physical, mental and social health. This is why we champion national walking programmes in
schools, workplaces and communities and work in partnership to increase levels of physical activity, by helping
to create inclusive, safe and attractive environments for walking.

opportunities and build relationships with potential donors, partners, and sponsors.
- Work with the Board
and senior leadership team to ensure effective governance and compliance with fundraising
regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, ensuring they align with the charity’s mission
and values.
- Act as an ambassador for Paths for All, promoting our work and mission to a wider
audience.
Key skills and experience:
- Experience in fundraising, income generation, or business development, ideally in the third
sector.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, including grant applications, corporate
partnerships, and donor engagement.
- Passion for promoting physical activity and improving public health
through walking.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the long-term vision and goals of
the charity.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with a
wide range of stakeholders.
- An understanding of charity governance and the third sector.
