Wasps (Workshop & Artists Studio Provision Scotland Ltd.) is seeking an exceptional leader to guide one of Scotland’s valued cultural organisations into its next chapter. As we approach our 50th anniversary, we are looking for a visionary and strategic Chief Executive Officer to champion our mission, strengthen our impact and ensure our long-term sustainability.
For nearly five decades, Wasps has been at the heart of Scotland’s creative community, providing studios and workspaces for artists, makers, and creative businesses. With 19 sites across 14 towns and cities, from the Shetland Islands to the Borders, we support more than 1,000 artists, 25 arts charities, and 81 creative enterprises. Through our innovative property developments, we breathe new life into historic buildings, transforming them into thriving creative hubs that contribute to Scotland’s cultural and economic landscape.
The Role
As CEO, you will provide strong, visible leadership, ensuring Wasps remains a sustainable, artist-centred organisation that meets the evolving needs of Scotland’s creative sector. Reporting to the Board, you will drive the strategic vision of the organisation, leading an experienced team to deliver operational excellence, financial sustainability, and sustainable growth.
You will be the public face of Wasps, representing the organisation at the highest levels, advocating for our tenants and fostering relationships with key funders, policymakers, and stakeholders across the arts, business, and government. You will also oversee our capital projects, ensuring that we continue to develop and enhance our creative spaces across Scotland.

- A strategic thinker who can demonstrate vision and identify opportunities for - and manage – change.
- Experienced in partnership working, business planning and organisational development.
- Respected and connected in cultural/charity/property networks and understands the opportunities and challenges facing the creative economy and Wasps communities across Scotland.
- Has an understanding of a property-based charity and legislative compliance responsibilities as a landlord.
- Committed to leading Wasps to achieve Net Zero in our properties and organisational practice.
- An outstanding communicator, networker and advocate, with the ability to build strong partnerships and influence key decision-makers.
- Experienced in complex stakeholder engagement and management
- A strong strategic and financial mindset, capable of leading a complex property-based organisation with a focus on long-term sustainability.
- Committed to diversity, inclusion, and community engagement, ensuring Wasps continues to serve artists, makers and creative people.

Scotland’s membership organisation and sector support body for the performing arts is looking for a new Chief Executive Officer. We are seeking a visionary and collaborative individual to lead FSTas our new CEO. You will be passionate about the transformational power of the arts and will be keen to play a significant role in futureproofing and promoting Scotland’s performing arts sector with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be an experienced communicator and someone who can make a compelling case for the impact of the arts and its importance to the world today. Who we are
Reeltime Music is a creative youth work charity that supports disadvantaged young people through music and the creative industries. We provide workshops, partnership projects, volunteering opportunities, and recording and rehearsal services to help young people develop skills, confidence, and creativity.
What you’ll do
As Funding Officer, you’ll work closely with our CEO to secure funding that sustains and grows our work. You’ll develop and manage fundraising efforts, write compelling funding applications, and build strong relationships with funders and partners. Your work will directly support creative opportunities for young people.

- Strong writing skills, with experience crafting funding applications and impact reports.
- Ability to engage and influence funders, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Highly organised, able to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

The Bank Dunblane Community Venture Project Lead
- Part time
- £35,000 pro-rata
- Remote: The role will initially be home-based while the development of the building is done, with meetings and engagement being undertaken regularly in Dunblane and the surrounding areas. Once the venue is operational it is expected to be office-base.

Project Summary:
Dunblane Square has been established with the main aim of developing and operating a multi-functional arts, tourism, hospitality and community centre – The Bank.
Through a grant from the Government's Community Ownership Fund, a vacant ex-bank building in Dunblane town centre has been acquired by the community and grant money has been secured for the first phase of the development.
This is an exciting opportunity to join us to lead on planning for and managing operating The Bank, which will provide a much-needed central social arts area space for members of the community and visitors alike to visit and socialise. We will host a community cinema, music, talks, tourist information and different food events creating employment and volunteering opportunities focusing on young people.
Project Stage:
The project was launched in Nov 2022, and Dunblane Square was formalised in July 2023. We have developed links with community organisations and letters of support from local politicians and organisations. We have undertaken a community-led approach, gathering feedback and ideas for how The Bank should be run. This was developed into a detailed design which has gone through planning. We are currently undergoing the tender for the first phase of two for the building works, and the venue is planned to be operational in November. Job Summary:
The Community Venture Project Lead will be responsible for engaging the community, defining, and delivering a comprehensive community project that includes a hospitality offering, cinema, and music programme in a community-owned building currently under development. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership, project management, and community engagement skills and has experience in Arts and running a multi-use community Centre with Commercial experience. Note, the development/construction is being overseen by others, but there will be an element of coordination. No experience in construction is required.
