Children First, Scotland’s national children’s charity, is seeking to appoint a marketing manager. By joining our team, you will help us stand up for children, keep them safe and support them to recover from trauma and abuse through our national and local services.

The role is an exciting opportunity to grow awareness of our powerful new brand.

You will oversee marketing campaigns with a focus on brand management, website development and marketing to cover the full marketing mix across multiple media channels. Managing and supporting the marketing team, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Manager and other colleagues to achieve the strategic objectives of the charity.

The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing professional with a proven track record and at least two years’ experience in a similar role.

The position is offered on a 0.6 FTE basis (21.75 hours per week). This role will be home-based but will require travel to Edinburgh and/or other parts of Scotland for in-person meetings as required.

Barnardo's is looking for a Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) to help shape our influencing in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to build on their existing knowledge and experience with policy influencers in Scotland while playing a pivotal role in creating positive, lasting change for children, young people, and families.

In this role, you'll work closely with our Senior Policy and Public Affairs Lead (Scotland) to implement our influencing plan. You'll help raise Barnardo's Scotland's profile among key stakeholders and policy influencers. You'll be involved in:

• Monitoring key developments within the Scottish policy landscape
• Managing relationships and liaising with stakeholders at all levels
• Conducting research and producing reports to support our policy objectives
• Supporting reactive policy work to respond to emerging issues
• Organising events to showcase Barnardo's vital work and engage decision-makers

Your efforts will ensure that the voices of children, young people, families, and our services are central to our influencing activities in Scotland.

A fantastic opportunity to come and join the Children First team in Midlothian

Children First’s ambition is for every child in Scotland to be safe, loved and well with their family. As a charity we offer emotional, practical, and financial support to help families to put children first and campaign to uphold the rights of every child.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our team in Midlothian who are funded to support families experiencing challenges relating to parental substance use, poverty, poor mental health and trauma amongst other factors. In addition, we support Kinship carers and the children and young people in their care. You will join a team offering both whole family and individual supports, where systemic and relational approaches underpin the work we do. We offer peer led groups and connections through community supports also.

This position will predominantly focus on supporting children, young people and their parents where poor mental health is experienced. You will provide both individual and whole family based supports promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. You will also be expected to support group based supports for young people with poor mental health.

If you have experience of working within child protection processes, are committed to restorative approaches, meaningfully involving children and families, and have a professional qualification in a relevant area such as Social Work, Teaching or equivalent in Childcare/Social Care or related area, accredited counselling qualification, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 9 or higher then we want to hear from you.

Barnardo's Scotland is looking for a highly skilled Administrator to join our South East Locality Team (Edinburgh Services).

The successful candidate will work as part of our South East admin team but will be predominantly based at Caern House, Gogarburn and our Scottish Headquarters at Oxgangs. Transport to both these areas must be considered.

As well as providing a high level of administration support to Services, we are looking for someone with experience in:

• Financial Administration - Income and expenditure monitoring and reporting; imprest reconciliation; invoice coding and processing.
• Premises and Facilities Management - Responding to visits, telephone calls and emails; liaise with Properties for any repairs and maintenance to buildings; assisting Managers with Health & Safety.
• Service User Records Administration - Maintenance of SU records (Electronic).
• Management Information - HR tasks; reports to internal and external stakeholders.
