We have an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of providing mental health and wellbeing, substance use and criminal justice support on an individual and/or group basis, and experience of developing peer support opportunities and coordinating volunteers.
The successful applicant will take a lead role, in partnership with Justice and Substance Use services, to develop an effective peer support network for people recovering from substance use, mental health and involvement in offending behaviours. Peer Support Coordinator will promote and deliver a range of peer support opportunities throughout Midlothian, and recruit, train, support and supervise peer volunteers who will be involved in delivering support in both group and individual settings.
The successful applicant will work as part of the Recovery & Justice Support Team and the wider Midlothian Health in Mind Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Services team, and support the promotion of all Health in Mind services.
