We are looking for a passionate and experienced Service Manager to lead our existing services and to help us ensure that every young person in these regions has access to youth specific services to help them avoid, resolve and move on from homelessness. In this key management role, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of our services, driving service quality, achieving key targets and supporting the development of new initiatives. Working alongside our management team, you will play a crucial role in implementing our strategy, ensuring regulatory standards are met and embedding policies and procedures across your team.

Working as part of our innovative Housing First for Youth Team, The Project Worker will work directly with young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support. Providing an assertive outreach approach the Project Worker will Work with young people to secure and manage their own permanent home, providing support in their home and in their local community to ensure that a young person’s experience of homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.

The Project Worker will support young people to improve their practical independent living skills, access other services and to reach their full potential. Project Workers are responsible for completing support plans and risk assessments and are the main contact for any key people involved in the care and support of young people.

Exciting Opportunity with LHM – Social Media and Content Creator

Lodging House Mission (LHM), a Glasgow-based charity supporting the homeless, socially excluded, and vulnerable, is recruiting for an exciting new role within our Day Centre. This is a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension based on funding and impact. It offers a unique opportunity to tell LHM’s story while helping service users develop new skills.

As an organisation founded in 1909, LHM has a long history of providing compassionate, high-quality support with excellent staff retention. We are looking for a creative and passionate digital storyteller who can showcase LHM’s work through engaging content while ensuring that the voices of those we support are represented with compassion, respect and authenticity.

This role will be instrumental in shaping LHM’s digital presence, supporting fundraising and community engagement goals, and fostering meaningful connections with supporters, potential funders, and the community, using methods that ensure our inclusivity.

In addition to content creation, this role involves spending time within the Day Centre, interacting with the people who use our services, and providing training in areas such as content creation, photography, and social media, to help them develop valuable skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively promote youth engagement opportunities within the community, reaching out to schools, local organisations and young people directly.
• Support disadvantaged young people, primarily from black and minority ethnic backgrounds
• Facilitate one-on-one and group interventions based on guided assessments
• Create and implement sustainable diversionary plans and group work programs
• Build strong, trusting relationships with young people and their families
• Connect service users with community supports and specialist services
• Work in partnership with Police, Social Work, Health, and Education sectors
