Role
For 30+ years, Into Work has supported the aim of a world where disabled people, neurodivergent people and those with long-term health conditions have equal access to fair work and opportunity to sustain and develop in work. Background / Context:
Having been operational in Edinburgh and Lothian for many years, Into Work has a long-standing record of successful partnership working and project delivery for disabled people. Due to expansion, we are now looking for suitably experienced and motivated people to join our growing staff team for both our Disabled Adult and Disabled Young People services.
For some people, the idea of being in work or even engaging with employability services, can seem unachievable and quite an unrealistic prospect. To enhance our user experience and encourage engagement, we offer additional in-house wraparound support, including Income Maximisation and Wellbeing input. We really help disabled people take those first vital steps towards making sustainable employment a reality.
Disabled Adults Service – Role Summary:
- Involves working with a caseload of clients on a 1:1 basis, using the 5-stage model of supported employment.
- Collaborating with Income Maximisation and Wellbeing colleagues to provide wraparound support and ensure a positive employment journey for clients.
- Developing working relationships with local organisations to establish appropriate referrals and linking in with employers to promote opportunities.
Disabled Young People Service – Role Summary:
- Working alongside the Young People Service Lead, you will support young disabled people aged 16-24 on a 1:1 basis initially, helping them progress to groupwork over time.
- Supporting young disabled people into positive destinations such as education, training, volunteering, employment and continued support.
- Focusing on young disabled people with no identified positive destination, helping them explore employability, wellbeing and strengthening their community connections.
- Exploring empowerment, with support around self-travel and building confidence to participate in local communities. Helping young disabled people build routine and gain new experiences.
About you – who we are looking for:
- Our staff come from range of sectors and career backgrounds and go on to become successful employment advisers.
- For this role we require someone who aligns with Into Work’s values and the social model of disability, who is looking for the opportunity to make a difference to the employment prospects of disabled people, neurodivergent people and those with long-term health conditions.
- You will need to organise and manage your own workload and be flexible in your approach to work, supporting Into Work across different projects and teams.

Peripatetic Assessor/Internal Verifier

As a Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) approved assessment centre we have a long record of achieving high grades for our delivery methods across awards in social care and childcare, including Vocational qualifications and Professional Development Awards.
We work with a variety of organisations from education centres to statutory, private and voluntary organisations providing services in social care and childcare. The quality of our assessment processes, and the support we offer to candidates, has been fundamental to our success for over 40 years.
We are currently looking for qualified Peripatetic Assessors (L&D 9DI) and/or Internal Verifiers (L&D 11) to join our Social Care team.
This role would suit a variety of applicants seeking to earn on a self-employed basis at a capacity that suits them. You may already have a part time role and be looking for an additional opportunity to develop your career; you may have family commitments that mean you have limited time available or be approaching retirement but be keen to continue to work flexible hours.
The role provides an opportunity to continue to develop knowledge and understanding around the assessment process as well as the skills required to motivate and support staff in their professional development.
Experience working in adult social care services along with the necessary qualifications to register with the SSSC are essential. We offer competitive rates of pay - £16.50 to £18 per hour for assessment and £19 - £22 per hour for IV.

About the Roles:Access to Industry (AI) is one of 8 partners delivering the new justice National Voluntary Throughcare Programme (NVTP) which is led by Sacro. We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate self-starter to support with the engagement of men across HMP and YOI Polmont and HMP Glenochil as they transition from custody into the community. Your aim will be to support positive outcomes for the individuals you work with.
The NVTP works with men, women and young people across Scotland. This role focusses on supporting men whilst they are serving a short term sentence or are on remand.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering supportive and collaborative partnership working with the Scottish Prison Service as a key stakeholder.
- Delivering effective pre-release support and planning.
- Proactively engage with individuals throughout their journey to ensure appropriate touchpoints with the NVTP, raising awareness and encouraging engagement
- Facilitate and lead engagement sessions across the prison estate
- Conducting needs assessment for individuals.
- Establishing trusting & genuine relationships, rooted in trauma informed principles.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings.
- Completing risk assessments and adhering to safeguarding best-practice.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records on case management system.
- Maximising engagement with partners across the prison estate.
- Identifying appropriate onward referral routeways at the earliest appropriate point.
You will do this by:
- Working collaboratively with the wider AI and national partnership team to deliver relational support for people accessing the NVTP, supporting team meetings, and service improvement.
- Participating in partnership meetings to support team working and service improvement.
- Upholding high quality service standards.
- Undertaking required role training (including that provided by the NVTP, Scottish Prison Service and AI).
- Being flexible and responsive to service demand including working across cohorts and prison establishments as required.
AI Team:You will play a part in the wider team of AI through attendance at internal meetings and participation in shared services across the teams.
Health & Safety and Property Management: You will ensure a healthy and safe environment and the protection and best use of property and equipment by implementing and observing AI policies and procedures.
Other Requirements: The post holder will be expected to manage their own caseload and work with minimum supervision partly in an outreach capacity.

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Corporate Services, the Finance & Governance Coordinator oversees our monthly payroll process, as well as the effective and timely invoicing and processing of payments. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years experience in a finance-related position, ideally within a charity setting. We also want you to have a detailed knowledge of the Sage finance system, experience of both management and financial accounting practices and excellent Excel skills. Previous experience of supporting effective charity governance is desirable but not essential.
