This is a fantastic opportunity to work in one of Scotland’s leading community law centres.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal Solicitor and Senior Management Team to develop the delivery of the service across Glasgow and Scotland.

You will be responsible for providing support to staff and working closely with the funders of the projects handled by Govan Law Centre.

You will be involved in identifying and securing further funding for the centre, preparing tender documentation for future funding and helping with the drafting of progress reports to existing funders.

You will be required to represent Govan Law Centre at community events and raise the profile of the organisation.

Govan Law Centre is a Scottish charity and has offices in Govan and Govanhill in Glasgow; registered charity number SC047423.

You will be responsible for the human resources (HR) support to a dedicated team of solicitors, caseworkers and clerical staff providing legal services to a very vulnerable client group in housing, homelessness, discrimination, employment, social welfare law and education rights.

The successful candidate MUST have:

  • A proven record in working with funders
  • Experience in preparing reports for funders
  • Experience in supporting staff
  • Experience in working with like-minded organisations to provide services
  • Knowledge of HR responsibilities
  • Office management experience

It would be advantageous if the candidate had:

  • A legal background

We operate a system of blended working for all members of staff.
