Ross-shire, Skye and Lochalsh Women’s Aid is seeking passionate and dedicated Part-time and Full-time Support Workers to join our Women’s Support Team.
Are you committed to advocating for women's and children's rights? Do you have the skills, knowledge, and experience to support women affected by domestic abuse? Do you have a strong understanding of gender-based violence and women's inequalities? If so, this could be the opportunity for you.
As a Women’s Support Worker, you will provide outreach support to women and, where appropriate, their families. You will also play a key role in assisting women and families seeking safe refuge accommodation. This role requires a diverse skill set, the ability to work independently, and strong workload management. A firm commitment to women's equality and a feminist perspective on domestic abuse are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships are also key.
Our service is expanding to better meet the needs of the growing number of women experiencing domestic abuse. If you have excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting recovery, we would love to hear from you.
The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in health and social care or other relevant subject, or a willingness to work towards a qualification.
