Due to changes and development of Threads Service, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Team Manager to join the team to manage our Early Help Service. The post is a time limited fixed term contract for a period of 18 months to cover the current Team Manager's secondment period. The Team Manager will support the CSM to lead and manage day-to-day operational service delivery to improve outcomes for families in the Renfrewshire area.
Based within Renfrewshire Council Children's services Social Work department the postholder will have line management responsibility of project workers and the day-to-day operational management and oversight for the Early help Service.
The Early Help Service provides a wide range of support and evidence-based interventions to support children, young people, and families. In partnership with Renfrewshire Social Work the service aims to provide an alternative to social work intervention for families who are experiencing difficulties which without support, might escalate to require statutory involvement.
The post holder will have extensive experience of working with vulnerable and marginalised children and families and have a minimum of two years of managing a team. A robust understanding, skills experience and a strong understanding of child protection measures, policy and an understanding of the barriers and issues that contribute to inequalities for children is required. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years experience of managing staff, volunteers, and multi-agency partnerships with social work, health, education and police.

Barnardo's Stronger Families offers an exciting opportunity to join an established team who are developing Attachment and Trauma Informed Practice models to support families with children aged 0-13 yrs across Fife. Barnardo's has been established in Fife for over 20 years and the Stronger Families service and support to children and families has been a consistent feature within our services across Fife.
Stronger Families offers intensive support to families (6-10hrs per week), and for 6-9mths working alongside partner agencies to prevent family breakdown. This level of support will hopefully help families to make effective and sustainable change to enable the children to safely remain at home.
Due to the intensive nature of this work your caseload will be around 4 families which will enable you to build good relationships with the children, young people & families and through your support will help them effect meaningful change.
You will have experience of working with children & families and will be required to deliver direct services to families who have a range of complex needs.
Experience of working with children and families and a working knowledge of attachment theories and Trauma Informed Practice would be extremely desirable as would a knowledge of The Promise as the principles are embedded into our service delivery.

Working collaboratively with Throughcare Prison Worker colleagues and a range of partners you will support in co-ordinated pre-release planning to ensure a person's journey is effectively supported. This will involve supporting connections to local, and specialist, services where appropriate and importantly wider community connections.
You will have the ability to establish trusting and genuine relationships with compassionate approaches. You will be self-motivated and understand the importance of collaboration and working in partnership across organisations and sectors to support the best outcomes for people. You will be keen to support your team, Pod area and wider service delivery demonstrating flexibility to service demand as required.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in shaping and delivering a new high-profile government funded project, that is making a difference to people's lives.
This role will involve working as part of a dynamic local team with workers from across partner organisations. Primarily remotely, with some work expected within your locality and travel as required to support engagement across the partnership.
Being educated to at least SVQ level 3 or equivalent is desirable. Experience of supporting individuals in a community setting, a current driving licence and use of a car for work and being computer literate with proficient experience of Microsoft tools are essential.
