PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

It’s an exciting time to join Dynamic Earth’s fundraising team and be part of telling Earth’s epic story to achieve our vision of a positive future for us and our planet. This role is key to delivering our fundraising strategy to increase income and our supporter base, to ensure we achieve our charitable mission of building empathy and understanding for Earth. As such, it presents a fantastic opportunity for a fundraiser to make a significant impact here at Dynamic Earth, and take our income-generation capability to the next level.

We’re seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic fundraiser, who will grow and manage partnerships with Trusts, Grant Makers, Corporate Trusts and Corporate CSR partners to maximise unrestricted and restricted income and supporter engagement. You’ll work closely with the Fundraising and Marketing Director to tell the story of our impactful and important work to as wide a range of supporters as possible, finding new ways to engage with them.

An opportunity has arisen for an administration assistant to support the current service administrator within the Barnardo's Threads service.

Barnardo's Threads is a holistic family support and housing service for young people and families in Renfrewshire, helping them give their children the best start in life. There are a range of services on offer at Threads for families to get the support they need at the earliest opportunity to provide a healthy, nurturing, stable environment for their children.

We provide support in the following areas;

The administrator assistant role will be pivotal in supporting the day to day running of a busy office as directed by the current service administrator. Tasks include, but are not limited to, answering telephone calls, welcoming visitors to the service, managing diaries and event bookings, preparing audit information and reports, monitoring income and expenditure and processing invoices.

The assistant will also support the wider team members to maintain service user records and day to day requirements as well as supporting other areas of the wider Threads Service Portfolio as directed by the Childrens Service Manager.

The successful applicant should be motivated, driven and can work on their own initiative and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. Experience of working alongside colleagues from a multidisciplinary background would be desirable and experience of working in the public or third sector would be welcomed.

The successful candidate will require to work with a high degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

As the Administration and Operations Officer, you will be responsible for organising both online and in-person meetings, managing enquiries from external colleagues and the public, and booking accommodation, travel, and event tickets for the staff team. West Lothian Foodbank has been providing emergency food parcels to those in the community most in need since 2012. West Lothian Foodbank is a local organisation which collaborates with people across the county, supporting anyone who doesn’t have enough money to afford the essentials. We provide emergency food to those who are hungry or at risk of hunger. We make time for a cup of tea, treating people with dignity and connecting them to the wider support they need to address the underlying causes of their crisis. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to help West Lothian Foodbank realise its vision to end the need for Foodbanks and poverty in West Lothian. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Charity Fundraiser. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising campaigns and events to generate financial support for our organization. You will proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, corporate partners, grant-giving trusts and foundations, and community groups. You will be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven history of building relationships with corporate partners, individuals and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You will have demonstrable experience in creating and crafting compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.
