Due to changes and development of Threads Service, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Team Manager to join the team to manage our Early Help Service. The post is a time limited fixed term contract for a period of 18 months to cover the current Team Manager's secondment period. The Team Manager will support the CSM to lead and manage day-to-day operational service delivery to improve outcomes for families in the Renfrewshire area.
Based within Renfrewshire Council Children's services Social Work department the postholder will have line management responsibility of project workers and the day-to-day operational management and oversight for the Early help Service.
The Early Help Service provides a wide range of support and evidence-based interventions to support children, young people, and families. In partnership with Renfrewshire Social Work the service aims to provide an alternative to social work intervention for families who are experiencing difficulties which without support, might escalate to require statutory involvement.
The post holder will have extensive experience of working with vulnerable and marginalised children and families and have a minimum of two years of managing a team. A robust understanding, skills experience and a strong understanding of child protection measures, policy and an understanding of the barriers and issues that contribute to inequalities for children is required. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years experience of managing staff, volunteers, and multi-agency partnerships with social work, health, education and police.

The role
Our Finance Manager Role is to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the charity by managing and overseeing all aspects of its financial operations. Key duties include maintaining an effective financial reporting system, managing the online accounting system (QuickBooks), and ensuring compliance with charity regulations. This role involves day-to-day oversight of accounting, banking, cash flow, and payroll processes, while also producing monthly management accounts and tracking cashflows.
The Finance Manager works closely with the Chief Executive, Head of Operations, and the Administration & Finance Officer to prepare and report on budgets, manage grants, and support funding proposals. In addition, they provide financial reports for decision-making, risk management, and year-end accounts, while also attending Board, Finance, and Management meetings. The Perinatal Family Worker will be based in 3D Drumchapel Office within Drumchapel Community Centre, however the role will involve some work in and around the community including home visits, and a weekly presence at the Antenatal Clinic. The Perinatal Family Worker will support families and babies by working as part of the Perinatal team to design and deliver parent and child play sessions, parenting groups, offering one to one support, and signposting and referring to other support services where necessary. Barnardo's Threads is a holistic family support and housing service for young people and families in Renfrewshire, helping them give their children the best start in life. There are a range of services on offer at Threads for families to get the support they need at the earliest opportunity to provide a healthy, nurturing, stable environment for their children.
We provide support in the following areas;
The administrator assistant role will be pivotal in supporting the day to day running of a busy office as directed by the current service administrator. Tasks include, but are not limited to, answering telephone calls, welcoming visitors to the service, managing diaries and event bookings, preparing audit information and reports, monitoring income and expenditure and processing invoices.
The assistant will also support the wider team members to maintain service user records and day to day requirements as well as supporting other areas of the wider Threads Service Portfolio as directed by the Childrens Service Manager.
The successful applicant should be motivated, driven and can work on their own initiative and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. Experience of working alongside colleagues from a multidisciplinary background would be desirable and experience of working in the public or third sector would be welcomed.
