Join our team as the Trusts and Foundations Coordinator, where you'll play a key role in helping to deliver National Galleries of Scotland’s ambition to grow funds raised from grant sources. You will have excellent research and organisational skills, strong written and verbal communication, and be proficient in analysing financial information for persuasive grant submissions.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining the list of prospects, monitoring opportunities and recording approaches and outcomes. You’ll also write proposals and steward relationships with Trusts and Foundations through regular communication, report writing, arranging visits and generally ensuring we meet the conditions of any funding received.

This post is part of a pilot strategy to grow NGS income. This post is initially on a 22-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension depending on the income levels achieved during the pilot. This offers an excellent opportunity for a results-driven individual to demonstrate their impact and contribute to shaping the success of this initiative.

About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within our Technical and Outreach Team at Home Energy Scotland South East, to assist households to install micro-renewable technologies, advise on energy efficiency options for hard-to-treat properties and provide specialist support for private rental sector landlords.

Based within the Home Energy Scotland advice centre at Changeworks, the role is predominantly field-based and will require extensive travel throughout South East Scotland, so a driving license is essential. You will join a skilled team with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer journey which starts in our advice centre right through to a tailored in-home visit which will identify suitable measures and potential available funding.

You’ll have a thirst for knowledge and the ability to inspire customers to take action. Whether it’s a home visit, running a briefing session or presenting to a group of employees you’ll be able to clearly explain complex technologies in a clear and friendly way. This role will also involve engaging with householders at various events throughout the year where you will be delivering advice to customers face to face.

Background

Edinburgh Old Town Development Trust is a registered charity committed to the revitalisation of the Old Town through stimulating growth in community participation, the arts and enterprise. With the help of new funding, we aim to enhance our services by offering weekend access, personalized energy advice, and expanding our warm space to a full 7-day schedule. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Energy Officer to lead this exciting project.

Purpose of the role

EOTDT is seeking an experienced person to be responsible for managing the delivery of critical energy support services to our community members and supporting the Facilities and Operations Manager team in running the Crannie Community Hub.

This includes hosting weekly group advice sessions, offering personalized energy guidance, and providing drop-in support to help individuals reduce their energy costs and improve their efficiency. The Energy Officer will also help ensure our space remains a welcoming and accessible resource for individuals seeking warmth, meals, and community support.

The activity programme will be based at The Crannie Community Hub but will involve working on an outreach basis across the Old Town area as appropriate. This role will include essential weekend working.
