Role

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust are seeking a Field Teams Manager to join our Operations Team.

The Field Teams Manager will be placed within the Operations Team and report to the Operations Manager. They will help oversee day to day management and the coordination of the 4 departments within the Operations Team (Maintenance, Facility, Parking and Litter) supporting the delivery of the services we provide Fife wide.

About you:

We are looking for a driven and proactive individual to join our team. You will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to SCQF level 8 (which includes HND or SVQ level 4) or experience in a relevant field that evidences Countryside / Landscape/Grounds Maintenance industry knowledge.
  • Experience of working in a health and safety conscious environment
  • Track record of collaborative working, developing, and maintaining effective relationships.
  • leadership and effective management skills to ensure high levels of productivity and quality outcomes.
  • Good standard of communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Confident and approachable demeanour as well as ability to negotiate and be diplomatic, but also assertive.
  • Confident talking to and conveying the FCCT message to a wide range of people from different backgrounds and with different opinions.
  • Responsible character, capable of working independently.
  • Excellent team player, able to be flexible and put shared goals before self.
  • Proactive and hard-working attitude with a bias towards action.
  • A suitable standard of fitness able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • The ability to process financial information including the recharging of labour and goods to appropriate internal and external client.
  • To be able to provide advice and guidance to key staff members on work programmes, ensuring appropriate inspection procedures and record keeping is maintained.
  • Appropriate equipment care experience.
