Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We
provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights
of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
What you’ll do
You will coordinate and deliver an exciting national engagement project, travelling with our giant inflatable brain
exhibit to raise awareness of brain health in schools, communities, and public spaces. This includes planning
logistics, managing event set-up and take-down, delivering interactive educational sessions to a wide range of
audiences, and supporting associated volunteer and fundraising activities. You’ll be the driving force behind
the tour’s day-to-day success - organising schedules, liaising with venues, and ensuring each event runs
smoothly, safely, and with impact.
What you’ll have
Your approach will be enthusiastic, proactive, and solutions focused. This is a highly visible and practical role,
best suited to someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable presenting to different audiences, and can manage
logistical challenges with calmness and efficiency.
You will demonstrate professionalism and warmth, building strong working relationships with stakeholders including
schools, volunteers, and local communities. You will work independently but contribute positively to the wider
team culture, bringing creativity and energy to the delivery of our mission.
Applicants must have a full and valid driving license and vehicle to be able to travel for this role.
Due to the fixed-term funding, we are looking for someone who is able to start as soon as possible to ensure
successful and timely delivery of the project.
The successful candidate for this post will be required to
provide proof of right to work in the UK and will also be subject to a PVG check through Disclosure
Scotland.
