Support Worker – Midlothian Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Services

  • 21.75 hours/week. Contract: Fixed term to June 25 with possible extension dependent on continued funding.

Role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Midlothian Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Team. This post is fixed term and is funded by Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership.

The support team comprises 1 x full time Development Worker (Groups) 1 x full time Support and Development Worker (1:1 and Group) 1 part time support worker (1:1) supported by a part time Team Leader.

The successful applicant will deliver time-managed, outcome focused one to one support. You will work in a person centered, trauma informed and strength-based way, supporting people with a range of issues important to their mental health and well-being. One-to-one support will be delivered in various community venues across Midlothian, by phone or on video platforms such as Zoom, to ensure accessibility and flexibility.

You will have excellent communication, IT, administration, and organisational skills.

You will develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, key partners, and relevant professionals.

You will be office based, travel is required across Midlothian and flexibility in working hours will also be expected to meet the needs of people we support.
