What is the role
Are you passionate about people and shaping organisational culture? We are seeking a Head of Human Resources to join us as a key member of our Corporate Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Services you will be responsible for driving forward a number of people initiatives within VSS to support strategic and operational plans. You will play a key role in working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuous review and improvements and provide HR and L&D support across the organisation.
You will be able to work with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds with an approachable and solution-oriented style; keen to support and drive the development of a positive working culture across the organisation.
What you’ll need to be successful
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who is passionate about continuous improvement and able to contribute professional expertise to develop the service and support key projects.
The ideal candidate should be used to working independently and be able to demonstrate experience of managing a challenging workload in a busy environment to meet deadlines. The postholder will be required to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements is maintained at all times and must have excellent understanding and practical knowledge of employment law and best practice.
Educated to degree level or equivalent with CIPD professional qualification at Chartered level, you will provide supportive leadership to a small team to provide a high standard of service.
Salary: £47,266 - £62,420. Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to review - in line with VSS progression arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
