Role

Glasgow Women’s Aid provides information, support and temporary accommodation for women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. We have refuge accommodation, follow on services and outreach services both for women and children across Glasgow.

In this role you will provide a dedicated crisis service to women experiencing domestic abuse. You will support women via our helpline and face to face via our drop in service. You will provide women with information and support around their experience of domestic abuse. You will work to secure refuge accommodation where needed and will work with women to complete risk assessments and safety plans. A large part of your job will involve liaising with our various teams and partner agencies.

This is our front line service and the first point of contact that women make with us. It is a very busy service and it is essential that candidates have experience of working in crisis situations and supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse. It is also essential that you come from a feminist analysis of domestic abuse and that you are committed to the values of Glasgow Women’s Aid.
