Curnie Clubs Project Support Worker (Adults)

Role

Fife Alcohol Support Service helps people deal with alcohol and substance misuse and their underlying causes. As part of our preventative work, our Curnie Clubs help adults out of severe loneliness and isolation into community activity of their choice. This position will be located within our innovative Curnie Clubs team. Curnie clubs were established in 2016 to combat isolation and loneliness. We are currently expanding our community bridge work, working in the community with those not yet able to attend our clubs.

The post holder will facilitate support in an informal group setting through activities chosen by the group, to help build social skills, confidence and self-esteem, allowing them to move on to an activity of their choosing withing their community.

The successful candidate will have some community work experience. We welcome applicants of any age for this position and will consider candidates’ employment, volunteering and education history. Induction and training will be provided. We are most interested in someone who shares the ethos of the project, which fosters understanding, self-sufficiency and community.
