  • 30 hours per week. Flexible hours to be agreed and ideally will be over 5 days. Funded by Support in the Right Direction (SiRD) until 31st March 2025 with view to extending the contract beyond this, depending on funding.

Role

The Self-Directed support Forum is recruiting a new manager to join the team, a great opportunity for someone with the right experience who is looking for a new challenge. The Forum’s vision is that people can be in control of the support they need to live their life their own way. Our purpose is to support them to achieve this.

The successful candidate will continue to build on the good reputation and excellent partnerships already in place and develop the service further. You will ensure the work of the team aligns with the needs of the existing membership and people considering SDS. You will have skills in data collection and analysis to support our evaluation needs and funding bids. You will have financial management skills which ensure we meet governance requirements. You will support and manage a team who are committed to the principles and outcomes of the Forum.

We are an independent organisation providing information/advice and brokerage service for anyone who is thinking about directing their own support or someone they care for. We also support individuals and families who are already directing an existing social care package.

The successful candidate will be required to have a relevant degree or equivalent and it would be desirable to have a management qualification or relevant experience.

Responsible to: SDS Forum East Renfrewshire Board of Trustees
