We are looking for a finance leader who is passionate about financial planning, management and reporting. The successful candidate is likely to have sound experience of finance processing and management, with a knowledge of good practice and policy and the ability to apply those skills to our wider resource planning. You may also have experience in other relevant areas of organisation development, including governance or workplace practice. Ideally the post holder will have worked in, or have an understanding of, the third sector, although development support will be available.

Grants Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to lead on growing funds through applications to charitable and grant-making Trusts. They will work with our Executive Management Team to identify projects and activities that require funding; compose high quality and timely written funding applications and match proposals to new and existing funders.
The successful candidate will have a track record of supporting successful income growth from charitable trusts and grant making organisations. They will have experience of translating complex information into inspiring written narratives and compelling cases for support through written proposals for fundraising.
As Grants Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the grant application process, managing relationships with funders, and ensuring the successful acquisition of grants to support our organisation's mission. Your role will involve strategic planning, fundraising, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to secure funding for various projects.
You will also have primary responsibility for drafting reports and performance updates for the CVO East Ayrshire Executive Team.
You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time; on the back of the rapid growth we are experiencing we are going through a transformation process and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the process of shaping processes and controls within the grants remit.
Third Sector Employability Development Worker

We are looking to develop a third sector employability pathway in Angus. Sustainable well-paid employment is essential for tackling poverty and the third Sector in Scotland has an incredibly diverse range of possibilities with around 45,000 organisations employing over 138,000 people. Sectors include social care, health support services, sports, arts, heritage, environment, culture, community work, campaigning, housing, animals, and education. Approximately 250,000 unpaid Trustees and 1.3 million volunteers also support the sector.
The main beneficiaries of this project will be those looking for opportunities to enter or re-enter the labour market through a coordinated response of opportunities created by and with the third sector in Angus, in partnership with strategic partners as part of the Local Employability Partnership. Helping people to become employable, to avoid underemployment, and to stay in work is a priority for third sector and public service agencies in Angus. By developing an employability response across the third sector, outcomes we will work towards are:
- Strengthening the third sector employability offer and visibility of such, across Angus.
- Championing third sector as a key partner in delivering employment outcomes.
- Enabling positive pathways for volunteers looking to develop skills which in turn supports wellbeing and prospects for entering or re-enter the job market.
- Third sector organisations gain a greater understanding of the policies that affect their work, enabling them to make more informed decisions.
- Third sector organisations are better equipped with knowledge, skills, services, and resources to meet community and organisational needs.
Voluntary Action Angus (VAA) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated to work with the TSI Project Manager and wider team, to support third sector organisations in Angus who deliver employability services. Working with key partners this outward-facing team aims to raise the profile and build the capacity of the third sector; to play the fullest role possible in improving employment outcomes for the people of Angus. Key aspects of the role will involve creating employability pathways, linking to our locality, social enterprise, and project-based work, and raising the profile of the third sector as a key partner in delivering employment outcomes in Angus.
To ensure the effective governance of the HTSI, in line with its purpose and aims, specifically including regulatory and legal compliance. As a Trustee you will be responsible for the governance and strategy of the organisation. Role support will be provided by the HTSI Chair, with support from the HTSI Chief Officer.

We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organisation. As the CEO you will be overall accountable for the vision and delivery of exceptional standards of critical services to the local community in Wester Hailes as well as the best possible employee experience for all working at The Health Agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a community empowerment strategic plan in partnership with the Board that aligns with our mission. Lead the organisation in identifying opportunities as well as adapting to emerging needs and policy changes.
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the organisation, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with safeguarding and all regulatory standards. Manage budgets, resources, and employees to deliver exceptional services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop projects and meaningful cross-sectoral inclusive partnerships with community members. Maintain positive relationships with other key stakeholders, including session providers, funders, local authorities, other third sector and private organisations. Act as the primary spokesperson for the organisation.
- Fundraising and Financial Management: Lead fundraising initiatives, secure sustainable funding streams, grants and manage financial resources to ensure the organisation's stability and growth.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and manage a dedicated team of professionals, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Promote professional development and ensure employee well-being.
- Governance: Work closely with the Board to ensure effective and collaborative decision making, governance and transparency. Report on organisational performance, risks, and opportunities.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the third sector or a related field.
- A solid understanding of the challenges faced by people living in areas of multiple deprivation
- Evidence of delivering positive and impactful mental and physical health improvements in partnership with the local community.
- Excellent strategic thinking, with the ability to translate detailed data analysis, knowledge and vision into actionable plans.
- Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and securing funding.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence e a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in leading and developing teams, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in the third sector.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including excel and digital media channels
