An exciting position has become available for a Senior Community Link Worker based in our established service in West Lothian.

You will support the service manager and fellow senior in the day to day running of 2 mental health and well-being hubs, based in Bathgate and Livingston. The hubs currently operate Monday-Friday 9-5.

You will be based in one of the Hubs leading a small team of Link Workers and working positively as part of a small MDT including psychology, occupational therapy and mental health nurses.

You will also deliver and support staff to deliver psycho educational groups.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a structured learning programme to schools and partner organisations with colleagues and partners.
• Participate in external forums, workshops and events to promote the work of Mindspace.
• Monitor, evaluate and improve learning delivery and resources.
• Ensure adequate records are kept under GDPR guidelines while ensuring all young people's confidentiality
• Ensure quality of service by collating and monitoring young people’s feedback.
• Contribute to developing service guidelines, policies and protocols to ensure the organisation maintains high-quality services.
• In collaboration with the Senior Recovery Facilitator and Chief Executive, set appropriate missions and goals to ensure the continued development of the service.
• Undertake other duties that may be required and commensurate with the post.

We are excited to invite applications from experienced practitioners to apply to join our new mental health service. With funding secured we are seeking applications to appoint highly motivated people to join our team.

The role of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner is to provide person centred, holistic mental health and wellbeing support to clients who have been referred to the service. Clients may present in crisis, be experiencing emotional distress, or reduced mental wellbeing. If you are an experienced partitioner who can demonstrate your knowledge and skills, and using your excellent communication skills and mature attitude to support people to achieve their identified outcomes and will provide a first-class service to our clients then we would love to hear from you. This post will be a delivered via a hybrid working model with the expectation that part of the working week will be office based.

You will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who can provide confidential Counselling services for young people in secondary school settings.

You must hold a recognised diploma in Counselling, already have or be working towards BACP/COSCA/NCPS accreditation (as an individual) and have experience of working with young people in a therapeutic way. You will be a reflective practitioner with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of staff, parents and young people. Referrals come through East Renfrewshire HSCP Healthier Minds hub and you will be expected to counsel a range of vulnerable young people aged 10-18 years who may be experiencing emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties. You will have an understanding of adolescent development, be able to identify emotional and mental health problems in young people and where appropriate refer on to higher tiered mental health services.

You will be required to maintain confidential records, provide regular statistical reports and contribute to the development and evaluation of this project.
