Organisation Profile:

Saheliya is a specialist mental health and well-being support organisation for women and girls (12+) living with and/or surviving from experiences of racial inequality compounded by gender-based abuse, living in Scotland. We promote mental well-being by combating the effects of discrimination and abuse, reducing the stigma of mental health, improving access to mainstream services and dismantling the structural inequality that exists for minority ethnic women.

Purpose of the Job

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Administrator to work in our Edinburgh head office.

To provide effective reception and administration support to Saheliya’s head office in Edinburgh. To ensure the smooth running of the office by managing the reception and telephones, maintaining and developing administrative systems, overseeing the premises, and line-managing reception and clerical volunteers.

This is an integral role in a unique and innovative organisation helping to change the lives of some of Scotland’s most marginalised and at risk women and children and gendered abuse, reducing the stigma of mental illness, and improving access to mainstream services while enabling women to also move on into opportunities for self-development and employment.
