Role
Street Level Photoworks is a photography centre in Glasgow which has a year round programme of exhibitions and engagement activities in its home venue in Trongate 103 and through a network of local, regional and international partnerships. It develops and delivers a diverse programme of community collaborations which recently has included various participatory arts projects in Govanhill and the Gorbals shaped by local people through the national Culture Collective programme. Street Level manage the Photography Networks in Scotland platform and is a member of Scotland’s Workshops, a network of artists production centres in Scotland.
Street Level has a small and dynamic team and is supported by Creative Scotland.
We are seeking to appoint a Finance Coordinator who will manage financial and administrative duties playing a key role in developments which ensure the organisation can achieve its ambitions, maintain quality provision, increase efficiency and improve commercial activity and organisational resilience.
You will be expected to have:
- A professional qualification in accounting/bookkeeping or at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience of Sage 50 Accounts and all Microsoft packages particularly excel.
- Experience of financial administration across management accounts, cash flow coordination, financial statement preparation, budgeting and stakeholder reporting.
- Understanding and experience of charitable sector and OSCR requirements.
- Highly organised, efficient and can work to deadlines in a small but dynamic arts organisation
- Teamwork - able to work co-operatively as part of a team as well as independently
- Confident and effective communicator, good interpersonal skills, dedicated to developing and maintaining strong relationships.

Barrowland Ballet is searching for a Senior Producer to manage, influence and take responsibility for the instigation and delivery of their national and international onward touring programme, and the delivery of a small number of special projects.

Terms and Conditions

- The role is primarily based in Glasgow with national and international travel and occasional weekend and evening work.

NYOS is currently seeking an Orchestra Projects Manager to join our Ensembles and Engagement Team.
You will be responsible for creating a sense of belonging, creativity and pride within the NYOS community, developing positive relationships with young people and a range of stakeholders while managing a busy portfolio of inspirational orchestra programmes, including NYOS, NYOS Development and NYOS Camerata.
You will ensure robust planning and oversight of all project administration and effective delivery of course content and schedules, act as the key contact for members and parents, freelance staff and artists. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board to develop and implement the 3-year Business Strategy and Annual Operating Plan. Build a strong working relationship with the Chair and ensure robust governance.
- Operational Management: Lead the Executive Team to deliver the Annual Operating Plan, oversee business activities, and drive income growth. Manage customer experience, facilities, exhibitions, IT, Health & Safety, visitor services, staffing, and finance.
- STEM Engagement: Promote STEM engagement through effective marketing, fundraising, and partnerships. Represent DSC at external events and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Financial and HR Oversight: Ensure financial stability, conduct annual audits, and maintain current HR policies and procedures. Foster a motivated and cohesive team environment.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership in running commercial operations and delivering national-level projects. They will possess experience in the visitor attraction sector or in building successful commercial ventures. Strong governance and Company Secretary experience are essential, along with a broad understanding of science and STEM engagement. Financial management and budget responsibility are critical, as is hands-on HR experience and conflict resolution skills. The candidate should demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Finally, the ability to make informed decisions, inspire confidence, and work effectively under pressure is paramount.
