Role

Our Digital and Information Manager ensures we produce and share exceptional quality-assured information for young people on the topics that matter most to them. In addition, they manage the delivery and development of our digital portfolio – including our social media channels, website(s) and apps – ensuring we build relationships with young people inside the digital spaces they spend their time in.

Your work helps to ensure that young people from all communities and backgrounds in Scotland have access to quality-assured information that will help them to thrive and make the most of their lives as they grow up.

What you’ll be doing from day-to-day

  • Designing and delivering our new youth information and social media communications strategy – ensuring it fully meets the current information needs of young people in Scotland and responds to trends they’re engaging with.
  • Managing and developing our social media platforms – including maximising the potential of our commercial information campaigns with partners (focusing on campaign optimisation, digital marketing and paid search).
  • Managing the development and delivery of our website(s) and social media platforms and using emerging and innovative digital technologies and communications approaches to better connect with young people.
  • Managing our information quality assurance processes and ensuring our compliance with the European Youth Information Charter.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Senior Leadership Team.

A great candidate will have a mix of these skills and experiences:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of working in digital communications or social media environments and maximising the potential of commercial communications campaigns with partners.
  • Excellent project management knowledge, with a demonstrated track record of successfully planning, achieving and exceeding campaign goals for partners and clients.
  • Customer service orientation and knowledge of working in a client-facing capacity.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring and inspiring talented social media or communications teams and building capacity in team members to achieve their potential, innovate and perform to the highest standard.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, partners and organisations.
