Role

At the SPFL Trust we believe in the power to use football for good, to get to, and inspire change in the heart of communities in a way that others can't. Our work is primarily delivered through a network of community organisations most of whom are registered charities associated with the Scottish Professional Football League.

This is an exciting time for our charity as we continue to work through our ambitious Football Powered strategy.

4.5 million people live within 10 miles of an SPFL ground, and our research tells us that they are 3 times more likely to experience poverty.

We are now looking to recruit a new trustee to join our board and help us achieve the strategic objectives detailed in our Football Powered strategy. Trustees have the opportunity to make strategic decisions, learn new skills, and most importantly help improve the lives of people across Scotland.

It's a fantastic opportunity and you will get to be part of a brilliant team!

We're looking for people who understand the role of a non-executive board to provide strategic leadership, challenge and council to our CEO and her team.

But, we're not just looking for people who ‘sit on boards’.

We are looking for someone who has experience of poverty and/or the charity sector.

In particular we are looking for candidates with experience in communications and PR, and those with experience working in sport, in particular football.
