Role

Community Links Scotland is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual to help deliver our West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice project. Funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme this programme will support local people who are in fuel crises by providing direct practical help and advocacy to vulnerable households.

We are ideally looking for an individual who has experience in providing energy advice and advocacy to households; or someone who has experience of advocating on behalf of vulnerable households and would be willing to undertake a City & Guilds L3 qualification in Energy Advice (CLS will cover this cost).

CLS is a small organisation with a dedicated staff team of nine. We have an excellent reputation in developing and delivering projects for our Housing Association clients and across the West of Scotland. While we are based in Clydebank, we operate very flexibly, with staff working across a number of venues – Community Hubs, Clients Offices, home and office – we anticipate that this post will work within all of these venues and will also undertake a number of home visits, as these are essential to the delivery of the project.

The West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice Project currently has three staff members: A part-time Project Lead (2 days/ week) and two Energy Advisors.

A detailed overview of CLS and the project, together with the job description and person specification is included within our Application Pack below.
