Role

We are looking to recruit additional capacity into our team of experienced doctors, initially for a 6 month period but with the possibility to extend. The post holder will join our team of sessional doctors, offering medical assessment, health screening and health advice for HealthLink360 clients, who may be adults, young people, or children.

In view of the variable demand for our services, no set hours are confirmed for this role but work will be as is available and agreed. We envisage that this may potentially be up to 1-2 session/s per week, on average and dependant on available work.

As well as having a GMC registration and bringing extensive post-graduate experience and additional post-graduate training, we are particularly looking for candidates with a background in Occupational Health who have completed an Occupational Health qualification such as DOccMed or MFOM. We ask that the post holder work in sympathy with HealthLink360’s Christian ethos and in view of the nature of our work, we ideally seek a candidate with experience of living or working overseas.

We offer a friendly working environment, a competitive level of pay and hope that a candidate will be available to start as soon as possible.

A full job description and person specification can be found here or below.

Founded as a Christian Charity in 1983, HealthLink360 [SC000948] is Scotland's leading provider of support to missionaries, aid agency workers, medical relief teams and volunteers who undertake overseas work in challenging and often hostile environments. Additionally, we provide support here in Scotland to school groups preparing to travel, to the local community with counselling and working with Church organisations, assessing their candidates for Christian ministry.

Embracing our ethos of 'whole person care for global workers' HealthLink360 provides a unique service offering a comprehensive range of medical, psychological and travel health services both in person, at our travel clinic just outside Edinburgh, both on site and online.

HealthLink360 was born out of the personal experiences of its founders, the experience of those who travel internationally to work, often in intense and high-risk environments, only to return home physically or mentally fragile. We provide an expert level of care to our clients before they go, during their assignment and when they return. Our clients consist of mission and humanitarian organisations and their personnel, those in church leadership, families and young adults and members of the general public. We work with those from faith backgrounds and those of no particular faith.

We are regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland. You can read more about us on our website at healthlink360.org
