About the organisation
Peeblesshire Foodbank is a busy organisation, which provides three days of nutritionally balanced food to people in crisis. We provide financial inclusion advice through our partnership with Citizens Advice Bureau, as well as signposting to other help. We also run a variety of other projects within the local community. Much of our work is undertaken by a team of dedicated volunteers. We are part of the Trussell Trust, the largest provider of food banks in the UK.
About the role
We are inviting applications for the post of Deputy Manager, which is a newly established role to assist in the management of the organisation and to ensure our services function as effectively as possible.
Specific duties include: operational management, co-ordination and support of volunteers, project management and deputising for the General Manager. This is a vital role within the foodbank, and requires an understanding of our clients, volunteers and how poverty affects those in Peeblesshire.
The foodbank team is small but dynamic, aiming to provide a first class service within the community. We are looking for a hard working and dedicated team player who can demonstrate commitment to our aims and values.
