1 POST – CHILDREN’S HEARINGS SERVICE – SCOTLAND CENTRAL BELT – 17.5 HOURS

Partners in Advocacy is one of the largest providers of independent advocacy in Scotland, delivering high quality advocacy services since 1998.

Three exciting opportunities have arisen within our supportive and friendly Children’s Hearing Service. The advocacy worker role will provide high quality, 1:1 independent advocacy for children and young people (aged 5-18) to ensure that their views and wishes are heard, and they are able to make informed choices so that they have influence over decisions which affect their lives. Independent advocacy is provided in various settings, including in the community, schools, people’s homes, and Children’s Hearings settings.

The post-holder will adhere to the SIAA Independent Advocacy Principles, Standards and Code of Best Practice. Full induction and training will be provided to the successful candidate. The post-holder will be joining Partners in Advocacy and working as part of a team of highly skilled and experienced independent advocacy workers.
