Lead and develop a team of Support Workers to provide personalised, responsive, and high-quality care

Maintain an active practice by continuing to provide personal care and domiciliary tasks that respond to the needs of the carer and the service user that includes all age ranges, conditions, disabilities or illness.

Enable carers to get a break from their caring responsibilities.

Meet personal, social, recreational and emotional needs of service user. Supporting them to meet their individual goals

Continually evaluate standards within the service, working towards meeting organisational outcomes

Glasgow East End Community Carers are looking for an experienced person to lead on our work with parent/carers and our Autism Family Support programme.

We have a large group of parent/carers who have children with autism, and they come looking for advice, information and support as they deal with the challenges of supporting their child/ren with autism.

We provide a programme of supports which include:

Play Sense – a weekly pre-school age play group

Family Activity Programme – a range of events, outings, day-trips, sports etc for children with autism and their parents.

Autism Training – a programme of training sessions which covers a wide range of topics relating to autism, ADHD etc.

Autism Helpline – a schedule of 30 min conversations with an Autism specialist for personalised advice and support.

Autism Peer Support group – a monthly group to allow parent/carers to meet and chat and support each other.

Autism Family WhatsApp group/PlaySense WhatsApp group – where parent/carers can encourage and support each other and keep in touch with the centre.

This role would be to lead on the delivery of this programme with the support of two support workers and our child-care workers.

The Lead role is responsible to the Carers Hub Manager, and the role is based at our Carers Hub at 26 Penston Road, Glasgow G33 4AG.

The Community Fundraising and Events Officer will be responsible for driving income generation to support the growth and sustainability of Trauma Healing Together via community fundraising initiatives. The post-holder will lead on planning, delivering, and evaluating a programme of community events, working creatively to engage individuals, volunteers, groups, and local businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised fundraiser to make a tangible difference by generating the vital funds needed to expand our trauma-informed services.

As a charity we work closely with people who have experienced psychological trauma and are living with the symptoms of this. We work in partnership with trauma survivors to improve their quality of life through therapy, training and personal development, shaping future services and the understanding of trauma through research projects.
