We are delighted to be recruiting for a Grants & Development Officer to join our growing team in Glasgow. Working as part of our Affiliate Development Directorate, you will play a key role in enhancing the long-term sustainability and growth of Mary’s Meals. Supporting our National Affiliates and funding relationship managers’ to produce documents for philanthropic opportunities, partnerships, foundations and institutional donors, to meet the needs of our existing donor base and capitalise on opportunities that arise.

Reporting to our Grants & Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing compelling funding proposals and writing reports for a range of major donors. In this fast paced and varied role, you will build strong relationships with our Affiliates across the world, have the opportunity to support grant management and identify and research prospective opportunities for programme funding.
Other key duties include:
• Assisting National Affiliates in establishing a portfolio of long-term partnerships that provide sustainable income for our feeding programmes
• Collating, assessing and relaying key information for reports and proposals
• Managing deadlines for donor proposals, applications and reporting.
• Supporting the development of the Mary’s Meals suite of products and materials that communicate our strategy and attract funding, and promoting their use across the network
• Contributing to the development and coordination of organisational systems and processes for the completion of funding proposals and reports
With strong organisational skills, you will be comfortable working across multiple projects and coordinating contributions across all parts of the organisation and will have relevant experience of designing and developing compelling funding proposals. You will have fantastic writing skills with the ability to tailor your approach to a variety of audiences and bring the impact of our work, and our story, to life. You will be a confident in your communications with the ability to engage in a variety of interactions with colleagues. Murray’s Initiative (formally known as Glasgow Council on Alcohol) is an independent Scottish charity that works to reduce alcohol and drug-related harm at both individual and community levels. Established in 1965, Murray’s Initiative adopts a long-term, trauma-informed and asset-based approach to changing the culture around substance use. Its services are built on a person-centred, harm-reduction model, supporting people whether their goal is to reduce consumption or achieve abstinence.

About the Role:
The Group Worker will support our peer-led Harm Reduction Service (U-Turn) benefiting young people 11 – 25 years old to design and deliver youth-led inputs on issue-based topics, with a focus to incorporate harm reduction approaches and address stigma/language around substance use.
The Group Worker will have responsibility for developing our weekly groups for our Peer Educators to take part in training around areas such as leadership, team building, issue-based topics and wellbeing. These groups will provide a safe, trauma-informed space where individuals will be able to feel confident to develop coping skills and resilience.
The service specifically targets some of the most vulnerable young people in areas where Murray’s Initiative currently delivers services, aiming to reduce the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs within their communities.
The Peer Educators will be supported to deliver peer-led inputs to other Young People on issued-based topics, with a focus to incorporate a harm reduction approach as well as a separate element of addressing stigma/language around drug and alcohol use.
The Group Worker will report to the Service Manager – Education & Development.

Common Wheel is a Glasgow-based charity dedicated to supporting people with mental health issues. Our vision is for individuals to live meaningful, satisfying lives and contribute to society. Our mission focuses on improving mental wellbeing, building skills, reducing isolation, and challenging stigma through creative, practical activities like music, art, bike building, and climbing. We have been supporting people manage or recover from mental illness for 25 years. Role Overview
The Charity Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of Common Wheel, ensuring the effective delivery of programmes, sound financial management, communications as well as contributing to successful fundraising. With an annual income of between £250,000 and £300,000, the charity is at a pivotal stage of growth and impact. The Manager will play a key role in shaping strategy, managing the team, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage a small team of 7-10 staff, a pool of freelance practitioners and a team of volunteers.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organisational culture.
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees to develop and implement strategic plans.
Programme Delivery
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of all programmes and services, such as build-your-own-bike workshops, climbing, art, music and others.
- Ensure programmes align with the charity’s mission and deliver measurable impact to participants.
- Monitor performance and report on outcomes to funders and trustees.
Fundraising & Income Generation
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to sustain and grow income.

Finance & Governance

Introduction
The Wynd Centre, Paisley has been in existence for over forty years as the mission and outreach centre of Oakshaw Trinity Church. Its purpose is to provide outreach to the local community of all faiths and none in both Paisley, and the surrounding areas.
Our Centre fulfils this role by providing Counselling Services and also accommodation for local community groups. It has an auditorium used for various types of functions and entertainment. There is also office space that is available to rent for either short or longer term use.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a vibrant and compelling Trainer to drive the learning and growth of our team on a full time basis. - Familiarity with the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC).
