Role
GCA has been working with individuals, families and communities across Glasgow and beyond since 1965, tackling the causes and effects of alcohol misuse. We believe that health and wellbeing are vital to individuals, family relationships and communities, and recognise that alcohol is an issue that can affect everyone, regardless of their background.
Counselling Supervisor
GCA is looking to attract an experienced Counselling Supervisor who is BACP/COSCA or BABCP registered. The individual would need to demonstrate at least two years of experience as a Practice Supervisor.
GCA would guarantee flexible hours per month at a rate of £35 per hour. GCA would provide the rooms for supervision and the Supervisor will have access to the GCA training Calendar which counts towards CPD.
GCA is one of the founding COSCA members and adheres to the COSCA ethical framework for good practice in counselling, psychotherapy and counselling skills. We also ensure that all practitioners employed by GCA are members of COSCA and suitably qualified.
You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to GCA practitioners, ensuring safe and ethical practice and support clinical performance and development of counsellor’s practice. This enables the charity to be effective and efficient in delivering GCA’s core services.
The individuals interested in working with GCA must be registered as an accredited Counsellor/supervisor with COSCA/BACP/BABCP/UKCP and hold a Post Graduate Diploma/MA in counselling/Psychotherapy, as well as a professional qualification in clinical supervision. The individuals should have a minimum of two years’ post registration clinical experience in counselling supervision.
Additionally, the individual will be required to hold a PVG registration and have personal liability insurance.

Job Description
We are looking for a driven, dynamic & compassionate individual to lead our East Dunbartonshire Young People & Family Service. Our service provides free, confidential support to Young People and Families who are affected by their own or a loved ones substance use. We deliver a wide range of interventions including one to one support sessions, structured group-work, wellbeing activities. We can also provide in-house Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and local communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that we deliver trauma informed support with the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care at the heart of all that we do. You will lead your team, providing development and clear direction aligned with the organisational aims and be a strong advocate for WithYou externally, maintaining and building our profile as you go. An SVQ Level 4 in Social Services and Health care & driving licence would be desirable for this post.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week between Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, with some evening and weekend flexibility as required. The salary for this position is £29,272.60 per annum.

Essential Skills
The most important thing you can bring to this role is clear and inspirational leadership. We’re open to discussions with candidates working in leadership roles outside of the drug and alcohol arena - for example, in mental health or housing. We’re most interested in your ability to demonstrate motivational leadership skills, with the drive to promote staff development and retention. You’ll have the support of a Head of Service Delivery and a wider team of experienced and dedicated stakeholders across the organisation.
If you have experience managing comparable services, as either an established manager or in a team leader or similar capacity and you are looking for the next step up in your career, we would welcome your application.
You should have:
- Experience in drug and alcohol support services, or in an equivalent social care setting
- A proven track record of managing and supervising others
- Experience working with vulnerable people (Young People and Adults)
- SVQ Level 4 in Social Services and Health care (or be willing to complete this)
- Experience of partnership working and within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience of working within community based services
- Ability to develop and lead a cohesive team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish credibility and/or make a positive impact
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

We are currently recruiting a Director of Finance & Corporate Services to join our well-established Executive Team. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will direct Quarriers’ finance, IT and property services. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our £60m budget, including financial reporting and planning, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
A key part of the role will include reporting to the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive, offering strategic advice and solutions on all finance and corporate services matters, and to support the Board in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.

Our Stroke Nurse service is part of CHSS’s Community Healthcare Support services, offering person-centred care underpinned by self-management principles for individuals and families affected by stroke. In this role, you will manage a caseload of stroke patients, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will lead and support a team of Stroke Nurses and Health Care Assistants, ensuring that service delivery meets organisational standards and performance targets. Additionally, you will champion continuous improvement in line with our No Life Half Lived strategy.
We’re looking for a clinically qualified professional who is registered the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of stroke care and patient support, along with proven experience in a management role. A management or leadership qualification is desirable but not essential.
