About the Role:
Are you interested in joining an award-winning Scottish charity whose aim is to provide support to people whose lives are affected by mental ill-health? Support in Mind Scotland have an exciting opportunity in the Highlands for someone looking to use their management skills and experience to help us continue to provide outstanding support services.
In this varied and challenging role, you will be responsible for the development and oversight of a range of services such as Resource Centres, community-based Outreach Support and Community Link services designed to extend and enhance Primary Care provision. You will work alongside our Area Manager, another Locality Manager and our expanding Highland team.
In this key role you will work creatively with other managers and with our support practitioners to deliver high-quality support services for people across the Highlands who are affected by mental health and mental welfare issues.
The role is diverse and interesting and your typical workday may include supervising and supporting senior staff, liaising with key stakeholder agencies such as Scottish Government and NHS Highland, devising training, writing reports, allocating resources and presenting at meetings with members of the public or professional colleagues.
Who are we looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills in project management, management of staff, training and liaison work with stakeholder agencies. Experience of supporting people affected by mental health issues and an understanding of Scottish legislation relating to mental health will also be an advantage.
