This unique job share opportunity will give the postholder the opportunity to shape and deliver a safe, high quality and high performing substance misuse service.

The service

New Beginnings Brent Recovery and Wellbeing service is a WDP led integrated drug and alcohol service, in partnership with CNWL. The service has been supporting residents in Brent since April 2018 and offers a broad range of recovery orientated, high quality services to meet their needs

The role

This post is a job share and will involve working alongside another dedicated Service Manager. Working together you will both lead the broad New Beginnings Leadership team to manage the delivery of a busy and dynamic substance misuse service, providing psychosocial and pharmacological treatment interventions the residents of the London borough of Brent. Brent is a diverse borough and the New Beginnings substance misuse treatment service is equally broad and diverse providing a range of effective treatment and engagement interventions.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with individuals who use alcohol and substances, a comprehensive understanding of the current operating environment within the substance misuse sector and an excellent understanding of the requirements of CQC compliance.

The post holder will be a dynamic and driven individual who is committed to the growth, and development of the Service, ensuring the service user experience is optimised and staff are supported and empowered.

The key requirements of the role include:

• Strong ability to communicate complex information with a range of key stakeholders including commissioners and funders

• Experience of managing and developing partners and developing strong joint working arrangements

• Ability to innovate and develop recovery focused service interventions

• Capacity to manage, create, grow, and maintain high performance

• Knowledge of criminal justice, clinical and outreach models of work

• A strong understanding of CQC

Conditions

• Salary band of £40,000 to £45,000 (Pro Rata) Per Annum

• Permanent

• 22.5 hours per week (Job Share)

Location

This role will work from both New Beginnings’ sites in Brent: WDP Cobbold Road and Willesden Centre for Health. There is an expectation to work flexibly across a variety of sites within the community and this role does have the flexibility for some working from home.
