Role

CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established, local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends. Services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis, prehabilitation and diagnosis, through treatment and beyond at 11 support and wellbeing centres located across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. Digital innovation developed during the Covid pandemic has extended Clan's reach, offering more services across a broader geographical area than before. The charity’s aim is to help people live with and beyond their or their loved one’s cancer diagnosis and improve the quality of life for all those who turn to the charity for help and support. The organisation has around 60 full-time and part-time employees and contracted staff, supplemented by a significant community of committed and talented volunteers. The Income Generation team are crucial to raising the funds to provide Clan's services. Clan is now offering the opportunity to join that team in one of a number of exciting new roles.

We are looking for an individual with creative flair and a passion for online retail. This new role within the Clan Income Generation team will be able to recognise trends in consumer online shopping, awareness of how to work alongside traditional existing community and high street charity shops, and the Power To Help bring the two together. The role will comprise the management of Clan’s Donations Hub where all items donated will be sorted and high value pieces identified for sale online through Clan’s developing online presence. Online sales of these items are bolstered by Clan’s own online shop from where charity merchandise is sold.

By bringing your experience and retail skills to Clan, you will be supporting thousands of people across north east Scotland and the Northern Isles who are impacted by a cancer diagnosis each year.
