This is a great opportunity for a talented and creative Digital Lead with digital expertise and communications know-how to join our dynamic team and bring digital best practice to our charity.
We are looking for someone with advanced digital skills and the will to lead the charity in this area by conducting a full digital audit, creating a digital plan and implementing the many strands needed to make us a success in this area.
This role will require you to work from our new central Glasgow office, as well as visit our community spaces, as required. There may also be an element of home working, which can be discussed at interview stage.
Funding for this role has been secured for one year and so this position is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract. There may be a possibility of extension, dependent upon the success of the role. Working hours are 35 per week.

As a key member of our Senior Management Team, the HR Manager plays a pivotal role in driving our organisational strategy, shaping our people culture, and ensuring that our charity continues to operate efficiently, compassionately, and in line with all regulatory requirements.
You will oversee all aspects of HR, from strategic planning and policy development to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance. You will also line-manage our Training Manager, ensuring the delivery of robust training programmes that support both staff and regulatory needs.

Launched in 2007, Pet Blood Bank UK is the only charity that provides a blood bank service for all vets across the UK. What you’ll do
- Provide cross-departmental leadership and support.
- Attend Senior Management meetings across PBB locations.
- Build a strong understanding of daily operations across the charity.
- Develop and deliver HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Review and improve HR policies and procedures.
- Analyse HR data to support informed decision-making.
- Lead full recruitment lifecycle for all roles.
- Oversee onboarding to ensure new staff feel welcomed, informed, and supported.

What we need
This is a hands-on role in a small team, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and the opportunity to genuinely influence organisational growth and staff wellbeing.
Essential:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a small, fast-paced team with integrity and professionalism.
Desirable:
- CIPD qualification or membership.
- Postgraduate HR qualification.
- Experience in the charity or third-sector environment.

The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Membership Recruiter to join our team.
No day is the same for our Membership Recruiters – you will travel around varied, exciting and unique venues throughout Scotland, all within a 1 hour radius of your home base, unless otherwise arranged with your line manager. Your days will be spent managing your own membership stall, actively engaging with the public and inspiring them to become members of the Trust.
Our membership recruiters are often the first point of contact for people who are yet to learn about our work. And so, whilst the main part of this role is to recruit new members, our recruitment team also work hard to inspire the public to become as passionate about wildlife as we are. Whilst experience is desirable, we are open to meeting the right fit for our team, and this position comes with direct training, with your fuel and parking costs paid for on top of your salary and commission. You’ll also have your own vehicle provided for business use.
As a member of our recruitment team, you will:
- Actively contribute to our vision of a healthier, wilder, Scotland.
- Attend venues and events as a Membership Recruiter
- Use appropriate communication and sales techniques (with no ‘hard sell’) to encourage members of the public to join the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
The successful candidate will:

About The Cats Whiskers:
The Cats Whiskers was formed in 2018 by a group of dedicated local volunteers, who saw a need in our local community for the care and re-homing of cats. Initially, these efforts were all carried out with the support of incredible foster carer volunteers. We are now thrilled to operate our re-homing centre in Alloa.
We also have a charity shop in Alva, opened in 2018, which generates income for our core purpose of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats.
Purpose of the job:
Since welcoming the first cat into our shelter in October 2022, our activities have grown to meet
need. In 2023, we rehomed 150 cats. In 2024, this increased to 179. We have also had an increase
in foster care, launched a pet food bank, and become a distribution partner for The Blue Cross. We
are seeking to onboard this role, our first paid staff member, to ensure the smooth day to day
running of our Rehoming Centre on Broad Street. To take on this role, we are looking for someone
who shares our passion for cat welfare, and wants to provide a quality, community service,
supporting our incredible volunteer team, working with, and furthering our local partnerships, and
ensuring the best possible care for our cats.
Main Responsibilities:
As the Volunteer and Centre Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Centre, focusing on the welfare of all cats in our care, and managing our volunteer programme. You will also ensure that all administrative and maintenance procedures are completed to a high standard.
We are looking for someone who is positive, driven and has the ability to thrive under pressure. You will support the board of trustees to continue to develop our Centre and services to meet local need. You will be someone who has:
- Experience and passion for cat care
