Role

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and focused Head of Rewilding Activities to lead our conservation and tree nursery team based at Dundreggan. The post holder will be a senior manager, combining knowledge and experience of ecology, conservation and project management, with the skills and behaviours to model and share our values and ethos with the team and wider community.

The role will oversee the management, and rewilding of our 10,000 acre estate Dundreggan, west of Loch Ness, and ongoing forest restoration work across the Highlands at both private and public land, alongside our established conservation volunteering programme.

The role is also responsible for the delivery of a range of time-limited, externally funded activities, currently including: The Reds Return- a squirrel translocation project, Skills for Rewilding Traineeships and the Caledonian Pinewood Recovery project.

The role is initially home based due to current covid restrictions and once permitted, the successful candidate will be expected to travel to our sites across Highlands and Moray if needed.
