In anticipation of the move from the current hospital site at Sciennes to a new purpose built facility at Little France, we are looking to recruit an exciting new post for our Children’s Wellbeing Services.
As Children’s Wellbeing Officer, you will identify and support the non-clinical needs of a wide range of children and young people in the hospital, and provide a range of focussed activities, in an age appropriate, engaging facility. You will work with teams in the hospital to develop complementary programmes which support children and young people to engage with treatment and feel less anxious or stressed. You will be experienced in supporting young people to feel empowered and able to support children and young people in the hospital, through a meaningful programme of engagement and activities. You will have an excellent knowledge of other agencies and organisations to signpost children, young people and their families to places of support and advice. The activities of The Hub will also link with the ECHC Arts Programme and hospital’s needs.
You will be educated to HND level in a relevant area and will have experience of working with children, young people and families; of delivering project outputs and achieving outcomes; and of engaging young people through positive relationships.
