An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Elderpark to recruit a Graduate Apprentice in Finance.
The successful candidate will undertake a 5-year Graduate programme. This course requires a strong commitment to further education to enhance your career opportunities, and on successful completion of the Apprenticeship, the post holder will exit with both a Masters in Accountancy and Chartered Accountant status with ACCA.
As a Graduate Apprentice in Finance, you will work as part of a dedicated, driven and supportive team, as your skills and knowledge develop over time, you will get involved in all aspects of finance within the business and your responsibility will increase. Elderpark will provide you with an opportunity to understand the business, build strong relationships, participate in continuous improvement projects and set career objectives, all of which are about preparing you for a leadership role, supporting the development of your skills, knowledge and helping you gain the necessary experience to ensure that you have a successful and fulfilling career.
Formed in 1975, Elderpark is an ambitious, high-performing, community-controlled Registered Social Landlord operating from Govan, on the south side of Glasgow. We currently own and manage 1,339 homes, employ 36 staff and have an annual turnover of £7m.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Strong financial awareness and knowledge of finance administration tasks e.g. purchase and nominal ledger, bank reconciliations and fixed asset register.
- Take responsibility for self-development and continuous improvement. This role combines work and study and therefore self-motivation and commitment will be key to success.
- Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Proven ICT skills in a range of Microsoft packages
- High level of attention to detail to produce accurate work.

Manor Estates Housing Association is seeking to recruit a full-time Finance Officer to join our busy Corporate Services team of 8. They will be working with the Senior Finance Officer to manage the Purchase and Nominal Ledgers, reconcile the bank and rent accounts, produce Management accounts and process payroll.
The post holder will report to the Corporate Services Manager.
