SDS is seeking appoint a Head of Policy to work with key partners at a Scottish and UK level to influence a cultural change to the meaningful inclusion of participants and athletes with disabilities across the Scottish policy, political and sporting landscape.
The successful candidate will also lead on policy and strategy development within SDS and Influence the development of inclusive policy and strategy across the Scottish sport sector.
The postholder will engage sport and non-sport stakeholders including government, parliament, disability organisations, health and education sectors.
You will be required to demonstrate experience of delivering a policy and public affairs function and have experience of positively influencing partners. An understanding of equality, inclusion and diversity issues and a working knowledge of the needs of people with disabilities will also be essential.
